Disappointed - Not Ready for Paid Release (Buyers Beware)
While I appreciate the effort that goes into building a plugin like this, my overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. Despite carefully following all available documentation, rebuilding my setup from scratch, correctly configuring MySQL users, testing with working Discord verification and RCON permissions - the core functionality (playtime tracking, rank assignment, chat tags) never worked. The players table was never populated, and only slight functionality was observed.
I waited a full day for support in the official Discord, only to be met with a cold, unapologetic response from the developer. Rather than acknowledge the issues or attempt to diagnose the problem, they simply stated that since I mentioned desiring a refund (if I proceeded with said refund), I would be permanently barred from purchasing plugins again due to their TOS. Honestly, that felt like a predatory tactic, especially given the plugin’s current state.
The developer even admitted they were aware of the lack of documentation, yet offered no clear rationale or assistance - particularly around the MySQL/database portion, which is where the failure point likely lies. If a paid plugin relies on external systems like databases, complete and tested documentation should be non-negotiable.
For comparison, I run a Rust server with over 150+ Oxide plugins - including full Discord sync, cross-server chat, and timed rank progression - and I’ve never encountered this level of friction or lack of transparency.
This plugin may have potential, but it’s not ready for premium distribution, and I can’t recommend it in good faith. If you're looking for something stable, documented, and supported, look elsewhere.
Buyers beware.
